Slimming Rules and Tips


  1. Add a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet and get more physical activity.


  2. Focus on drinking water through out the day instead of drinking colas and other soft drinks.


  3. Carry a note book with you and jot down your calorie intake after every meal as research tells us that people who note down their calorie intake eat less.


  4. Instead of eating three large meals eat five to six snacks a day at different intervals research shows that eating the same amount of calories at different intervals surely reduces the release of insulin in our body plus maintains the sugar level and controls hunger.


  5. Walk for forty five minutes daily as thirty minutes of walking keeps you healthy and the extra fifteen minutes help you lose weight and fat.


  6. Research shows that blue colors acts as an appetite suppressant, so use blue colored dinner plates, and table cloth and avoid red, yellow and orange as they increase appetite This is the reason restaurants are not decorated in blue shades.


  7. Use smaller size dinner plates as they will help you in eating a smaller portion and avoid second helpings.


  8. Eat more calories before noon as research shows the more you eat in the morning the less you eat in the evening.


  9. Sniff a fruit when you feel hungry as sniffing a food tricks the brain in thinking that you are actually eating it.


  10. Brush you teeth after every meal as the cool mint smell triggers the message to your brain that the meal is over.


  11. Avoid carbohydrates as much as you can because intake of large amount of carbohydrates can shoot up your weight but use whole grain flour instead of white flour.


  12. Avoid eating out when you are trying to reduce weight as people who eat out surely have a greater chance of gaining weight than the ones who eat at home.


  13. Eat slowly and calmly, chew your food properly. Keep in mind that your brain lags your stomach by twenty minutes in terms of fullness signal and if you eat slowly your brain will catch up to tell you that you are no longer in need of food.


  14. If you are craving for a particular food avoid eating iy as its just your likeness for that food and you are actually not hungry.


  15. Eat fruits instead of drinking fruit juices as fruit gives you satisfying appetite.


  16. Wash or clean your house once a week as this will help in losing weight.
One last point here is that, you may also want to take some weight loss pills so that you can control your weight in an easier way.
